PROJECTS / RESEARCH

Titel of Thesis "Attentional Modulation of Receptive Field Characteristics in Macaque Cortical Area MST"

SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

In the broadest sense, I am interested in how the visual system works, i.e., how the nervous system can transform the light that hits the eyes’ retinae into a mental representation of the environment. More specifically, I want to explore how this mental representation is influenced by internal, cognitive processes, especially attention.
